The Conference
The professors from the Gordon College Undergraduate Education Department and the Graduate Education Department, along with highly esteemed Sunday School teachers from around New England are coming together to offer New England Sunday Schools and Christian Education providers professional development that can enliven and engage students as they learn. Each of the three days will start with an inspirational and reflective chapel service led by Dr. Jane Wells.

The Theme
The theme, Come Alive, relates to research and strategies that school-teachers use that can assist Christian Education teachers in making Sunday School an exciting place for students to learn about their faith. In recent years the educational field has been inundated with research- based information that indicates that students learn best when teachers know what to expect from students' developmental stages and when teachers make learning interactive and hands-on. Students retain what they learn when they act and do - rather than just sit and listen. Our instructors will be bringing their expertise and experiences to assist you in making Sunday School dynamic.
