Camp was awesome this year, probably my favorite year of the four years that I've been going there. It definitely helped get me ready for preseason and I definitely improved.
Andy was the best speaker I think I have ever heard. He was awesome, every one of his sermons kept me engaged and I took them all to heart. The counselors were great this year too. I was able to talk to Laura a bit and she was great, as was Lisa. And the guy counselors were all so goofy and fun, I loved them.
I met a lot of new people in addition to getting closer with the people I already knew. My best friends are people that I've met at WMSC and I don't know what I would do without the relationships I have with them. I would definitely refer friends & teammates to WMSC. I'd tell them what a great Christ-centered environment it is and how great all the people are and how much it helps improve your soccer skills.
I absolutely grew spiritually during my week at WMSC '06. Before camp this year I was sort of at a
spiritual road-block. After my week in Rumney, I went to Guatemala for a week. When I returned home I was on this total spiritual high and I learned so much in the two weeks. In just my week at soccer camp, listening to Andy speak everyday was great and he helped me get more excited about reading my Bible and I've been praying all the time. I want to go to a Christian college now where I didn't want to before. I grew and matured a lot in my walk with Christ this summer and WMSC was a huge contibuting factor to that and I am so grateful that God put it in my path.
